What is Science?

My definition of science

"Every subject is science, every object, everything around us and inside us, every feeling, etc everything is science, and study of all these all is science"

What... am I saying, you can even say this but this a different point of view to completely understand this read the following explanation. 

Explanation

From our childhood onwards, we are learning and studying about science. but do we really know what real science is?... OK...whatever it is...

Now take your time and think what definition is in your mind about this the question, and then continue reading to know and feel the beauty of science.

According to the Oxford dictionary, the definition of Science is "the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment". Or in simple words, we can say that it is the study of nature or the study of nature (behavior) of nature or the study of hidden laws of nature or the study of pattern hidden in nature. Now going deeper we came to another question which is what is nature, so to understand science completely and clearly, we firstly know about nature.

 What is nature?

Everything around (and even inside) us in this universe, even if we can see them or not, hear them or not or, can or cannot be sensed by any of our body organs or any external measuring instrument is nature. And one thing that we can find anywhere this nature/or in this universe is that everything is very systematic and very logical.

Let we take some examples-

for eg:

1) the matter around us that we can see or the dark matter that we cannot even feel and even our physical instruments cannot be able to detect them (we came to know about it with a tool called Mathematics), the part of the light (visible light) that helps us to see objects around us and the part of the light (infrared and ultraviolet) we cannot even see but we can detect and use them by our physical instruments, or the microscopical particles (atoms, molecules) or the huge astronomical objects (planets, stars, galaxies, black holes, etc)...

2) Even the biotic life or the abiotic inanimated objects

3) The clothes we wear, the food we eat, the sound or music we hear

4) the hidden mysteries, the history, the past, the future, the time, the motion, the changes, the action of things

5)every rule/law under which this universe works, the patterns which are followed by this universe, or we can say the reason behind everything or every action

6)every subject we can ever study (up to the extreme depth that can be possible)

...All these come under this word nature...Although to completely see/feel all this you need to think somewhat deeply and if you want to take a more clear view of nature from me then comment me down.

Science

Origin of the word science

The Word science came from Old French, from the Latin word 'Scientia', which came from the word 'scire' which means 'to know'.

Meaning of Science

As the Latin meaning says that is 'to know', so to know, to learn, to the study, about nature, means all the studies that can be possible with nature, for knowing nature all is science.

As everything around us is nature and the main thing is that nature is full of infinite knowledge (we can say these as mysteries), even a pinche of space anywhere in this nature/universe is concentrating the infinite amount of mysteries within it so it becomes very important and interesting to know ourselves and our nature from its very basic root.

Now if we see we can study nature by our senses, by our intuition, by observation, by making various instruments that follow nature and gives some the extra sense of nature, by using some other tools like mathematics... yes, Mathematics (another subject). There are many limitations to study nature by using only one tool, so we use maths to study many complicated things when the study goes beyond our senses then we make use of this tool called Mathematics. As was said by a famous scientist Galileo Galilei that "That the book of Nature is written in the language of mathematics", so by using mathematics gives us the real feel to talk with nature. As we are studying nature in science and nature always runs under some laws/pattern and so to study nature we need to know these laws and for this work, the tool mathematics make our work easier and simplified, and even if we cannot perform experiments physically due to some reasons for our physical limitations (like to study about black holes, or about microscopic objects, etc) than in that cases mathematics comes into role majorly in this study, using mathematics we can do even imaginary experiments. Yes exactly imaginary experiments, and due to the beauty of science of mathematics we came to know about that experiment without even physically performing it, this is the real beauty of mathematics. And with all this we can understand the science of science or the beauty of science that going deeper and deeper we came to know about different aspects of any kind of the situation, which seems to be nothing/hidden before it, and we cannot even imagine that what these aspects can really give us, teach us, can give wings to our imaginations what exactly we are trying to achieve now.

Now if we can see this universe/nature is full of mysteries (now to see this you really need to think somewhat deep) eg- All the development around us comes with science, means from this nature, from knowing this nature which seems hidden in this nature itself during past years...we came to know about these mysteries today and achieve them as development.

So as we had seen now that nature is very mysterious, so then we need to also, see that these mysteries are in all the fields we can ever study...for understanding this we are going to see some examples-

eg- 1) Finding (thinking and making) an art painting that can really touch everyone's heart - here one should need to study (also includes practical knowledge) about the different types of arts, different combinations of colors, and also think from the point of a psychologist, that is which type of paintings people find, here he also uses some maths, etc.

2) Writing a great book that is very needed for every one

3) Making a song which is going to be hit

4) Writing such an article that, which is going to be a unique one in its style

5) Finding such a startup which can make really millions

6) Finding why a child cannot be able to perform well in his exams 

Etc.

like I elaborated the first example others also require study about their nature and act accordingly, and no doubt if in the study we will cover everything that is really necessarily required and acts accordingly then the results are going to be very successful (but it should cover every law in his study and even unintentionally it should not be violated), but this study in these different fields can be of different types, then one question arises that why everyone becomes successful as everyone tries to succeed like this, here its answer is in this question that is he tries, even if he tries how can we dam sure that is covering all the rules and does not even violate them unintentionally, so this universe is very mysterious we cannot be even sure to anything we discover, because it can also be needed to be modified with time as discoveries further proceeds. So here we had seen that even the other types of subjects we named so for reducing our complications because we do not be able to study all nature's study in one subject...

But from all this above explanation we can conclude that what things, object, feelings everything is nature and its study is science, so indirectly we can say nature is science, and we can also say that all the other subjects we study separately but in reality/in nature these are not separate these all are one, one in the view of nature*, only one and that is science, but we only need to study them separately in their subjects because of the complications. That is why it becomes more important to study different subjects or to see a situation with a different point of view because sometimes even observing a complicated situation from another point of view, situation may seems to be simplified.

The real exploring nature is actual science.

And we study nature and know all natural laws and work accordingly to make our life simple and easy. And the fact is that these only are not only definitions of science.

*because of that every single law studied in one subject can be acting on the other fields, and particularly one field can be the superposition of the many different laws of many different fields.
